Who is responsible
This website belongs to The Pietermaritzburg Plumbers, a plumbing business working in Pietermaritzburg and Hilton. We are the party responsible for the details you send through it. To reach us about your information, use the call-out form and say that your message is about privacy.
What we collect
Just the details you type into the call-out form, which are your name and phone number, an email address if you give one, your suburb, the type of job and what you tell us about the problem. The site does not ask for an ID number, a street address or payment details.
Why we use it
To answer your request: to phone you back, discuss the cost, book a visit, quote and do the work you agree to. Your details never go onto a mailing list, and they are not sold or handed to anyone else to market to you.
Who else handles it
The website runs on Cloudflare. When you send the form, a small program on Cloudflare passes your details to Resend, an email delivery service, which delivers them to our inbox. Both act only to carry the message. Neither is allowed to use your details for anything else.
Cookies and tracking
None. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking code. If that ever changes, this notice will say so before it happens.
How long we keep it
For as long as it takes to deal with your request and any work that follows. Records the law requires a business to keep, such as invoices, are kept for the period the law sets. Anything else is deleted once it is no longer needed.
Your rights
POPIA lets you find out what we hold on you, have it fixed or removed, and object to the way we use it. Ask through the call-out form. Should our answer not satisfy you, the Information Regulator of South Africa takes complaints at inforegulator.org.za.
